Baku/29.12.21/Turan: Policemen seriously injured Nargiz Absalamova, one of the participants of the December 28 journalists' rally in front of the Parliament building.
The video footage shows a policewoman hitting the journalist in the face and pushing her. As a result, Nargiz Absalamova fell and broke her coccyx.
According to doctors' conclusions, the broken bone damaged the thigh muscle.
"During the action, a policewoman grabbed me by the throat and pushed me hard. At the same time, other police officers pushed other female participants and we tripped on the curb and fell on our backs.
I hit hard and suffered a lot of pain. After examination, the doctor prescribed bed rest for three weeks," the journalist told the Turan agency.
The lawyer of the victim Zibeyda Sadigova reported that the Institute of Traumatology has a written conclusion on the fact.
On this occasion written requests were sent to the Interior Ministry, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Office of the Ombudsman.
The complaint demanded to initiate a criminal case on the fact of injuring a journalist by an officer of the Rapid Response Police Regiment and bring the perpetrators to justice, the lawyer noted.
It was impossible to get a comment from the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Earlier, the head of this department, Ehsan Zakhidov, claimed that no journalists were injured during the rally.
As a reminder, three dozen journalists were protesting against the adoption of the new Law "On Mass Media" by the Parliament. -03B-

Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
