Popular singer wants to arrest journalists for the word "drug addicted"
Singer Matanat Iskenderli sued the site Aznevs.az, demanding financial compensation of 5.000 manat. The lawsuit was filed against the site editor and correspondent Elchin Zaidoglu and a correspondent Intigam Valehoglu. According to Turan editor, the reason for a lawsuit became an article published two months ago, where the singer was named “drug- addicted.”
The singer filed a lawsuit to protect her honor and dignity under Article 147 (defamation) and demand in addition to compensation to arrest the editor of website material.
Trial will begin on June 19 in the Narimanov District Court. -05B-
