Preparations for the festival of flowers in full swing

The workers of the City Hall of Baku and the executive power of the Sabail and Nasimi districts, as well as representatives of foreign firms supplying flowers have been working for several days almost round the clock, preparing for 10 May – the holiday of flowers.

In the square in front of the Conservatory and Winter Boulevard there have been installed hundreds of stands and there have been delivered flowers imported into Azerbaijan. They were supplied by heavy trailers.

The roads are blocked, and the utility workers are laying boxes, cartons and trays with flowers from overseas.

All this is done just for one day, and on May 11-12 all these flowers will be collected and disposed of, because there is nowhere to put tons of flowers.

The innovations this year include several balloons of impressive size depicting Heydar Aliyev, which have been flying over the square for three days.

Note that with such a large scale the power does not celebrate any other holiday, even including Novruz. - 02B-
