Different attitude to the country's independence, the decline in the economy, and the deterioration of the quality of gasoline are the leading topics of today's press.
The Azerbaijan paper has published an article entitled New Independence Manifesto, which refers to the 25 years of independence of the country and the exclusive role of Heydar Aliyev in achieving this independence. The author emphasizes the achievements acquired during the period of Heydar Aliyev's reign from 1993 to 2003.
The website Azadliq.info has published an article entitled Independence Day and Those Who Are Afraid of Freedom. The author recalls the historical facts of the adoption of the Act of Independence and the establishment of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR). He also notes the jealous attitude of the current ruling party to the founders of ADR.
Novoye Vremya continues the publication of economic problems, the falling GDP, and the Cabinet inactivity.
Bizim Yol writes about the reducing quality of Azerbaijani gasoline. As evidence, the author writes about the fall of engine power. According to some reports, this gasoline is from Kazakhstan, and not local.
On gasoline quality Azerbaijan has become 77th among 100 countries.

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
