Prosecutor asks to condemn the brother-in-law of Emin Milli to seven years
Today at the trial in Baku Serious Crimes Court in the case of Nazim Agabayov, brother-in-law by Emin Milli, the head of "Meydan TV", the prosecutor made a closing statement, and asked the court to sentence the defendant to seven years in prison. Agabayov was arrested on 23 July 2015 under Article 234.4.3 (illegal manufacture, production, storage and sale of large scale drugs) of the Criminal Code, which punishes with imprisonment from 5 to 12 years. Agabayov rejects the accusation and believes that he is being persecuted because of family ties with Milli. Lawyer Adil Ismayilov said that he believed that the prosecutor would ask for acquittal. Protection asked for time to prepare for the final speech. The next trial is scheduled for April 22 .- 03D-
