Protest Action in "Azadlig" Square?
Social networks are providing information of a possible protest action on December 8 at 12:00 in the "Azadlig" square to express unhappiness about the increase in petrol prices. Information about the action was posted on Hasan Safarov’s Facebook profile. He lives in the Turkish city of Izmir.
According to various social resources, today in Baku a group of drivers held a spontaneous protest by stopping machines and continuous signals.
Sahlab Bagirov, deputy head of the Baku Police, warned that any protest in Azadlig Square which is not approved by city authorities will be strongly prevented. —03B06-
