As stated in the report of the Congress of World Azerbaijanis, Muradpour was arrested two years ago for his struggle for the Azerbaijanis’ education in their native language.
He also criticized the Iranian authorities for their failure to act in connection with the drying up of Lake Urmia.

Although a ceasefire declaration was signed between the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia, a peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan has yet to be signed, even four years later.
