Religious Activist Arrested for 20 Days
Baku / 15.02.19 / Turan: A religious activist Tural Allahverdiyev, known on Facebook, has been arrested as a user of Tural Divana for 20 days.
He was detained on February 13 at his home by persons in civilian clothes and taken away in an unknown direction.
Only on February 14, his family was informed that Allahverdiyev was arrested for "not submitting to the police".
Allahverdiyev was known for calling on social networks to collect donations to help the families of political prisoners, and to buy school supplies for their children.
He also protested against torture of the leader of the Muslim Unity Movement Taleh Bagirzadeh and religious activists Abbas Huseynov and Jabbar Jabbarov in the Gobustan prison. -06D--
