Residents of Nine Buildings Cry Out for Help
A multi-block 9-storey building in the village Buzovna at 2 Subhi Street is in poor condition due to the fault of the executive authorities of Baku and the Khazar district.
The building was re-covered with roof lining after a series of fires in buildings covered with polyurethane, which led to casualties.
The repeated work was not completed and the funds were embezzled. The improvement of the village was not completed either. Instead, local authorities built dozens of retail properties that were sold or leased. Complaints of the residents to various instances were to no avail.
The residents of 2 Subhi attempted to block the road used by the motorcade of the President of Azerbaijan, but the police dispersed them.
During the hurricane of December 4 the cladding and roof of the building suffered further strain. The apartments were flooded with rainwater and the electric wires were endangered with ignition. The people’s calls for help are to no avail. Apparently officials expect a new tragedy. -0-
