The heavy snowfall in the capital of Azerbaijan has not caused any delay of departure and arrival of aircraft at the Baku International Airport, said the state-owned company AZAL.
All flights are carried out according to the schedule, and the airport services operate normally, AZAL said.
Meanwhile, the intense snowfall and north wind does not stop in Baku. During the night the snow depth in the capital was 23 cm.
In the Greater Caucasus Mountains most snow has fallen in the Gakh region - 69 cm. In the Talysh Mountains the snow depth is 32 cm, in the Lesser Caucasus it is 70 cm (in the Agdere region of Nagorno-Karabakh), in Nakhchivan it is 38 cm, and in the central lowlands it is from 2 to 23 cm.
The air temperature on 1 February will be -1-3 degrees Celsius by day and at night. In low-lying areas it will be 0-2 degrees. In the mountains the frost will be -12-17 degrees, and in Nakhchivan it will be -7-16. -02D-
