State Border Service seized 92 kg of drugs in February
Baku/02.03.23/Turan: The State Border Service (SBU) has published data on the results of fight against smuggling, illegal migration and drug trafficking for February 2023.
Within a month, 34 people were detained for violation of state border, including 18 citizens of Azerbaijan, 11 of Pakistan, 1 of Russia, 1 of Dominican Republic, 1 of Congo and 2 of Afghanistan.
Total 915 persons were detained for infringement of border regulations.
The police detained and handed over to the appropriate authorities 251 persons who were wanted by the law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan.
As part of efforts to curb illicit drug trafficking, some 92kg of drugs and 565 psychotropic pills were seized from illegal turnover.
Besides, contraband totaling 1 million 119. 188 manat was detained, the report said. -05D-
