Sumgayit "locked" in anticipation of Ilham Aliyev
Since the morning of January 13 the road to the city of Sumgait (35 km from Baku) has been locked for all buses and other vehicles. The traffic in the city is also blocked. The reason is the expected arrival of the head of state in the city.
Due to lack of transport, people cannot come to work in Baku, and even get to their jobs in Sumgayit. Children cannot get into their schools and kindergartens. Residents of the city are moving on foot. No one knows when the visit of the head of state will start and end. -08B-
