Supreme Court again Postponed Consideration of Complaint of Opposition Activit Murad Adilov
Scheduled for April 15, the Supreme Court consideration of the cassation appeal of the youth activist of the Popular Front Party Murad Adilov did not take place again.
The judge Ilham Jafarov said that he was on a business trip and did not have time to get acquainted with the case, so he moved the hearing for April 22.
Earlier, a meeting on the Adilov case did not take place on April 13, due to the fact that the judge Jafarov was on a business trip.
Murad Adilov was arrested in August 2014 and was subsequently sentenced to six years in prison on charges of drug possession. He rejected the accusation and said that he is being persecuted for political reasons for the opposition activities and journalistic work of his brother Natig Adilov. The latter is the leader of the TV program Azerbaijani Hour, which is broadcast by satellite from abroad. It sharply criticizes the regime in Azerbaijan. -06B--
