Ten Poachers Detained in Khachmaz
Baku / 21.12.1 8 / Turan: In recent days, 10 poachers were detained in the village of Mugtadir of the Khachmaz region of the country, the Ministry of Environment reported.
In the course of the raid, 26 banned sturgeon fish were found in three fishing boats. Moreover, they were all young - from 0.5 kg to 2.5 kg.
Poachers are fined for a total amount of 6,600 manat, and the question of bringing them to justice is being resolved.
The Ministry of Environment warns of the inadmissibility of catch of fish listed in the Red Book of Azerbaijan. However, this negative practice continues to occur, despite the fact that it implies criminal liability. -16D-
