Thalassemia Detected in 12,594 Marrying People
Baku / 17.08.17 / Turan: After the introduction of mandatory medical examination of people entering into marriage, this procedure was performed by 309,224 people, the Ministry of Health reported.
Despite the detection of different types of infections among the subjects, the health status of most of them was satisfactory.
For the entire period of the studies, thalassemia was detected in 12,594 people, syphilis was detected in 1,456, and AIDS was detected in 225.
Mandatory medical examination of people entering into marriage was introduced from June 1, 2015. -06B--
