The activist claims that the city police chief threatens him
Baku/10.09.21/Turan: Social and political activist Bakhtiyar Hajiyev stated about threats and pressure on him from Baku Police Chief Alekper Ismayilov.
The reason for this was his critical publication on Facebook about Interior Minister Vilayat Eyvazov, the activist believes. The reason for the publication is the ignoring by the police of the complaint of the activist, filed about 2 months ago.
On September 9, he was taken to the city police, where its chief exerted psychological pressure on him, saying that if he did not remove his publication, he would face a greater punishment than arrest. According to the activist, the police chief threatened him with death. However, the critical post was not removed.
When asked by Turan to comment on the activist's allegations, a spokesman for the Interior Ministry's press service Elshad Hajiyev called them “untrue,” without denying the very fact that Bakhtiyar Hajiyev was delivered to the police. -02D-
