The arrested PFPA activist started hunger strike
Baku/30.07.20/Turan: An activist of the Popular Front Party Elnur Hasanov, who was arrested on July 23 for 30 days, is on a hunger strike since his arrest. He himself informed his relatives s by calling from the detention center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Binagadi district, reported PPFA.
Elnur Hasanov was detained on July 21 and interrogated at the Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General's Office regarding his participation in a rally in support of the army on the night of July 14-15.
According to the PPFA, about 40 PPFA activists were detained in connection with this rally.
“Serious charges were brought against 14 of them. Thirteen people are under administrative arrest,” the message says. Party chair Ali Karimli called these arrests unfounded. -0B3-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
