The authorities refused to authorize the rally of the "Karabakh" Committee
Baku / 10.12.18 / Turan: The Baku Executive Power refused to authorize a rally by the Karabakh Public Committee scheduled for December 15, demanding that decisive measures should be taken to liberate the occupied territories.
The city administration"s response said that the country's leadership is doing everything necessary to resolve the conflict, and therefore there is no need to hold a rally, reported a source in the Karabakh committee.
The Committee considers these arguments by the authorities unfounded and violating the freedom of assembly.
The rally was supposed to be held at 14:00 at the "Mehsul" stadium in the Yasamal district under the slogan: "Release Karabakh!", "End of occupation!"
On September 29, the Karabakh Committee held a similar rally, demanding that the authorities take decisive measures in this direction. However, the next rally, scheduled for November 24, was not authorized by the authorities.
* The "Karabakh" Committee was established this summer with the participation of 17 public organizations: the Karabakh Liberation Organization; Party of the "Classic" Popular Front, Nationalist Action, Civil Solidarity, Islamic, National Democratic and others. -06С--
