Today Baku Nasimi Court extended for another two months the arrest of the deputy chairman of one of the leading opposition parties - Popular Front, Gahramanli Fuad, who was arrested on trumped up charges of inciting the residents of Nardaran village not to obey the authorities. According to Turan's lawyer Fakhraddin Mehdiyev, the defense petitioned to dismiss the case for lack of evidence, while at the same time, the court granted representation of the investigative body to extend the detention period for a further two months. According to the lawyer, it will be appealed. The reason for his arrest became the publication by Gahramanli on Facebook with an appeal to the residents of Nardaran to stand up for their rights. The authorities used this publication in social networks to arrest opposition leader on charges of "public calls for the violent seizure of power." -02D-
