The Court of Appeal released Rustam Ismayilbeyli
Baku/15.12.21/Turan: Today, the Baku Court of Appeal, after reconsidering the complaint of the youth activist Rustam Ismayilbeyli, reduced the administrative sentence by half and released him from arrest, reported relatives of the activist.
Ismailbeyli was detained on December 1 at the Fountain Square an hour after the dispersal of the rally in defense of Saleh Rustamov. The next day, the court arrested him for 30 days on charges of violating the quarantine regime. However, according to the conviction of human rights activists, the real reason for the arrest was the active civil position of the young man. The first appeal lodged by the lawyer was not upheld.
Today, the Baku Court of Appeal considered a personal complaint of the activist and reduced his sentence to the term he served. -06В-
