The lawyer said about the torture of a journalist in Sumgayit police

Decision of the Sumgayit City Court dated November 25, the editor of the portal realliq.info Ikram Rahimov  were sentenced to one year imprisonment. For the same period was sentenced Rahman  Novruzov under the Article 147.2 of the Criminal Code (slander to commit grave and especially grave crimes.) According to Turan's lawyer Elchin Sadigov, these  persons were arrested after the publication in the newspaper "Hurriyet" article about evading taxes of the malls "Ujuz market."

Novruzov was the source of information, and the author  referred to a document from the Ministry of Taxes.

The article also states that the shopping centers "Ujuz market" were closed head Ispolitelnoy Sumgayit power Zakir Faradjev, and opened after the giving the bribe to the  head.  As a private prosecutor  is  the chief  of the network "Ujuz market" Vugar Galandar.

The lawyer said that Rahimov was detained on November 25 in the courtroom, but he was taken not in jail, but to the Sumgayit Police Department, where he was kept for three days illegally, and tortured in the office of the deputy chief Hikmet Gasimov.

They demanded from him to apologize to the head of Sumgayit. When he refused,  a  plastic bag was put on his head until he choked.  They demanded from him an apology, and the whole process was recorded on video, Faradzhev  watched it  online.

Unable to withstand the torture Rahimov hit his head on the edge of a chair, received an injury to his temple,  and then the torture topped.

After switching off the camera police said that Rahimov was right, but they subordinate to Faradjev because he  is their "minister".  The lawyer Sadigov appealed to the General Prosecutor's Office.

The Executive Power of Sumgayit to a request to comment on the statement by the lawyer said that the mayor  Faradzhev already spoke on the matter in the press, and denied his  involvement in the case.  He called the  charges against him "absolute nonsense.”- 06D-
