The lawyer said about the torture of a journalist in Sumgayit police
Decision of the Sumgayit City Court dated November 25, the editor of the portal realliq.info Ikram Rahimov were sentenced to one year imprisonment. For the same period was sentenced Rahman Novruzov under the Article 147.2 of the Criminal Code (slander to commit grave and especially grave crimes.) Unable to withstand the torture Rahimov hit his head on the edge of a chair, received an injury to his temple, and then the torture topped.
After switching off the camera police said that Rahimov was right, but they subordinate to Faradjev because he is their "minister". The lawyer Sadigov appealed to the General Prosecutor's Office.
The Executive Power of Sumgayit to a request to comment on the statement by the lawyer said that the mayor Faradzhev already spoke on the matter in the press, and denied his involvement in the case. He called the charges against him "absolute nonsense.”- 06D-
