The lawyer was refused admission to the Bar because of "lack of trustworthiness"

Baku / 02.05.18 / Turan: Lawyer Ramil Suleymanov criticized the procedure for admission to the legal profession of the country, calling it politicized. On his Facebook page, Suleymanov writes that in the test exam is excessively difficult questions, and the second stage of the contest - an oral interview, is biased. So, out of 2000 candidates only 607 passed a test exam, having scored a minimum of 60 out of 100 points.

Having overcome the first stage, Suleymanov was admitted to an interview conducted by a commission of 5 lawyers, 3 judges and 3 legal scholars. At the oral exam, he was asked questions twice as long as others.

He notes that he responded well to 3 out of 4 questions, and answered one question satisfactorily.

"Of the 12 people who were in an oral interview with me, I knew five. All of them said that the questions were complex, and they answered poorly," Suleymanov writes.

Of the 12 persons interviewed on the same day with Suleymanov, two were not accepted: he himself and the son of the famous lawyer Asabali Mustafayev Ruslan Mustafayev.

Suleymanov believes that he was not accepted because he was nominated as a candidate for deputies from the REAL movement.

According to Suleymanov, even before the second round he was accused by the leadership of the Bar Association of having links with the Council of Europe and participation in rallies. -06D-
