The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the detention of 25 illegal migrants in Baku
During police raids at various addresses in Baku, 25 foreigners were detained in Azerbaijan without documents granting the right to stay in the country, the message of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During the investigation, it was established that these individuals were victims of fraud. In particular, they were promised illegal migration to European countries, transit through Azerbaijan, for a monetary fee. Protocols have been drawn up in relation to the detainees under the relevant articles of the Code of Administrative Misconduct.
In total, since the beginning of 2024, employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration of the Main Department of Passports, Registration and Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have identified 127 illegal migrants, against whom appropriate measures have been taken.
