Baku/13.03.21/Turan: The movement of vehicles on the Baku-Shamakhi highway (39-45 km) was stopped due to snowfall, the Azerbaijan Automobile Roads Agency reported in the afternoon of March 12. Traffic was also stopped on the section from Shamakhi to Aqsu (Aqsu pass).
At these sites, with the help of special equipment, work is being carried out to clean the track, however, a strong blizzard is covering the road with snow again, the report said.
On the Baku-Guba-Russian state border highway, traffic was also stopped due to snowfall, as well as on the mountain roads to Khinalig and Gilyazi.
Strong winds impede traffic on the Baku-Gobustan highway, where the section is 90-109 km. severe ice has formed.
The Baku-Alat-Ujar-Yevlakh highway, where drizzle is observed, is working more or less normally.
Traffic on the Yevlakh-Ganja-Gazakh-Georgian border highway is difficult in the Gazakh region.
Traffic has been restored on the Ismayilli-Gabala-Oguz-Sheki highway, as well as on the highway from Sheki to the border with Georgia.
The movement from Ganja to Dashkesan, where it is snowing, and from Shamkir to Gadabay is difficult.
