Baku / 24.08.18 / Turan: Nasir Huseynov, whose name is included in the list of political prisoners, was released, reported the Center for the Protection of Political Prisoners. According to the same source, the term of his imprisonment expired on August 22. Nasir Huseynov was arrested in 2015 in connection with Mingechevir protests and sentenced to three years. On August 22, 2015 in Mingechevir after the funeral of 27-year-old Bahruz Hajiyev, clashes broke out between relatives of the deceased and the police.
The prosecutor's office assessed the events as riots, detaining 22 participants of this action. 16 of them were subjected to administrative arrest for 10-12 days. The rest are brought to criminal liability. Nasib Huseynov was one of them.
According to the Center for the Protection of Political Prisoners, at present, in connection with the Mingechevir events, three people are serving their sentence: Ilkin Abdullayev, Ilgar Khalilov, Dilgam Mahmudzadeh. They are sentenced from 4 to 6 years. -0--
