Baku / 15.02.18 / Turan: The Office of Muslims of the Caucasus (OMC) sent an appeal to religious leaders, parliaments, international organizations, as well as the European Court of Human Rights in connection with the 26th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy. The appeal says that "on the night of February 25-26, 1992, the Armenian aggressors, with the assistance of their patrons, made a sudden armed attack on the city of Khojaly, committing cruel and mass killings against the civilian population. On this night, 613 people were brutally murdered, including old people, children, pregnant women. "
The appeal emphasizes that 150 residents were missing, 1,275 people were taken prisoner and subjected to severe torture. Mockeries were committed over the bodies of brutally murdered civilians.
