The Office of Muslims of the Caucasus (OMC): Crime in Khojaly should be recognized as genocide
Baku / 15.02.18 / Turan: The Office of Muslims of the Caucasus (OMC) sent an appeal to religious leaders, parliaments, international organizations, as well as the European Court of Human Rights in connection with the 26th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy. The appeal says that "on the night of February 25-26, 1992, the Armenian aggressors, with the assistance of their patrons, made a sudden armed attack on the city of Khojaly, committing cruel and mass killings against the civilian population. On this night, 613 people were brutally murdered, including old people, children, pregnant women. "
The appeal emphasizes that 150 residents were missing, 1,275 people were taken prisoner and subjected to severe torture. Mockeries were committed over the bodies of brutally murdered civilians.
Despite the fact that 26 years have passed, Armenian terrorists have not received punishment for the crime. Despite the fact that a number of states of the world and international organizations recognize the Khojaly genocide, but there are those who do not pay attention to this terrible crime, the appeal says.
Azerbaijani believers want world religious leaders, parliaments, international organizations, the European Court to recognize what happened in Khojaly as an act of genocide, noted in the appeal. -0-
