The situation escalated on the front line
Baku/21.01.14/Turan : Over the past day the Armenian side violated the ceasefire 98 times, the press service of the Defense Ministry said.
Heavy shelling was carried out at Azerbaijani positions in the direction of the districts Gazakh, Fizuli, Khojavend, and Tartar.
The Azerbaijani side opened fire in response, the press service said.

During search and operational activities, on January 30 at 11:20, 16.4 kg of drugs were discovered and seized in the area of the "Geytapa" border post, located on the Iran-Azerbaijan border. According to the Azerbaijan Border Service, this prevented an attempt to smuggle into Azerbaijan 11.3 kg of marijuana, 5.1 kg of opium, and 1,990 methadone M-40 pills from Iran.
