The trial in the case of Lapshin is postponed
Baku / 11.07.17 / Turan: The next hearing in the case of blogger Alexander Lapshin in the Baku Court for Serious Crimes, scheduled for July 11, did not take place. The reason for this is not the appearance of Almaz Bayramova, an expert of the Forensic Medical Examination Center to the trial.
Judge Alovsat Abbasov said at the meeting, the answer came from the Forensic Medical Examination Center that the expert Bayramova is on vacation and her participation is possible on July 12. In this regard, the meeting was postponed to 14:00 on July 12. The lawyer Eduard Chernin petitioned the witness-expert Bayramova. The lawyer told Turan agency, Bayramova concluded that Lapshin's publications contained calls for territorial integrity.
In this regard, the defense wants to hear the expert and ask for clarification on what grounds she came to such conclusions. Earlier 11 hearings of IDPs from the Shusha region were completed at the trial.
Witnesses stated that they were offended by the actions of Lapshin, who visited their native places and introduced them as Armenian land. They noted that Lapshin with his approving publications on the activities of the separatist regime contributes to the continuation of the occupation and prevents their return to their native places. Lapshin himself noted that he visited Nagorno Karabakh as a tourist and did not have anything against Azerbaijanis, and respects the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.-06D--
