The trial of Ismayilli events exploring video (UPDATED)

In the Sheki Court of Grave Crimes on the trial on the February 10 Ismayilli events, the review of videos continues.

On the video footage of Radio Liberty shot by Elchin Ismailly in the evening January 23, 2013 can be seen indignant people in front of the hotel Chirag and also recorded an arson of cars at the villa of the former head of the district . However, because of the darkness people's faces cannot be discriminated.

Next were heard audio interviews of the deputy chairman of Musavat Tofig Yagublu and the leader of the REAL movement Ilgar Mamedov made after the departure from Ismailly. The interviews were distributed live around 17.40. This confirms that Yagublu and Mamedov left Ismayilli and could not be members of clashes between police and protesters in the morning and in the evening on January 24.

Yagublu and Mammadov were in Ismailly from 16.00 to 17.00, when the town was calm.

Also shown was a video clip where you can see how Yagublu is standing in Ismailly together with journalists and the situation is calm. The judge included these video in the case materials, but did not admit it as evidence. The trial will continue on February 11. -06D –

Trial in the case of Ismayilly riots continued in the Sheki Serious Crime Court.

On February 10, the victims: Vugar Alekperov, son of former Labor Minister Fizuli Alekperov, and his cousin, Elkhan Alekperov, son of the former head of Ismayilli region, Nizami Alekperov, gave testimonies.

Vugar Alekperov confirmed that the hotel "Chirag", which was burnt down during civil unrest, on  23-24 January 2013, belonged to him . However, the hotel was leased by the tourist company " Wafi ". Alekperov said that at that moment he was in Baku.

Despite the damages, Alekperov said he did not have any claims against the defendants. His cousin also said that during the events he was in Baku. During the riots two of his cars were burned and part of his house was damaged.

However, he renounced claims, noting that a man named Saftar prevented the pogrom and arson of his home. (Saftar Agamalyev is a local businessman who is a defendant in the case.)

Further, the prosecutor introduced a video.

In turn, the lawyers of the deputy of "Musavat", Tofig Yagublu, and leader of the "REAL" Movement, Ilgar Mammadov, also invited to view their video, and in particular by the radio "Freedom". The judge responded, “present, and we will decide."

Lawyer Fuad Agayev also insisted on calling the journalist Idrak Abbasov and watching his videos. However, the judge replied vaguely that bring him, and we will discuss it.

Further they watched videos by ANS, ATV, Lider TV channels, as well as some operational filming of interrogations of the accused.

On the video of the TV channels in the crowd were noticed some of the defendants, but they do not commit unlawful acts. In the afternoon, the trial will continue.

On January 23, 2013 in the region of Ismailly, an employee of the "Chirag" hotel was drunk, caused road ​​accidents and insulted locals. In response, angry people burned down the hotel "Chirag". On January 24 began clashes between the police forces and the locals demanding the resignation of the head of the executive power of the region. Eighteen people were brought to justice, including the leader of the 

"REAL", Ilgar Mamedov and deputy chairman of the "Musavat" party, Tofig Yagublu. —007C-
