Tofig Yagublu’s daughter and lawyer are noit allowed to meet with him
Baku/15.09.20/Turan: Lawyer Agil Daidj could not meet on September 15 with his client oppositionist Tofig Yagublu, who continues his hunger strike for 14 days and is in the intensive care unit of the City Hospital clinic.
His daughter Nigar Hazi was not allowed to see her father. "A lawyer has the right to visit his client at any time, so it is illegal," she said.
Nigar confirmed that her father's health remains serious, according to doctors, he is weakening every day.
“For the fourth day I have not been able to communicate with him. There is no answer to my requests. His health is the most important today, the legal side of the issue has faded into the background, ”said the lawyer.
Yagublu started a hunger strike, protesting against the unfair court decision that imprisoned him for 4 years and three months.
Yagublu was recognized as a political prisoner and, despite numerous demands and appeals from international organizations and local public figures, the authorities ignore calls to release the oppositionist convicted on trumped-up charges of hooliganism. -03B-
