Two Algerians detained while trying to cross from Azerbaijan to Georgia
Baku/30.08.23/Turan: At 7:20 a.m. on August 30, two violators were detained on the Azerbaijani-Georgian border near the village of Sadygly in the Aghstafa region. According to the State Border Service, they turned out to be Algerian citizens - Amar Siyani in 1969, and Belkhatir Mohamed-Fadel, born in 1999.
After being detained, they reported that they tried to move from Azerbaijan to Georgia, and from there to Europe. Operational and investigative measures on the fact are ongoing. -0-

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
