Two Judges Subjected to Disciplinary Action
Two judges have been subjected to disciplinary action at the meeting of the Judicial Council (JC) chaired by the Minister of Justice Fikret Mammadov. This is stated in the press release of JC received by Turan.
For late compilation of judicial decisions, procrastination, unsecured rights and interests of the parties, the Yasamal District Court judge Agshin Efendiyev was reprimanded.
The Siyazan District Court Judge Ilgar Guliyev was warned for breaches of the law, and not following the jurisprudence in criminal cases related to traffic accidents.
In relation to another judge, whose name is not disclosed, disciplinary proceedings started for failure to inform timely about the trials, not sending the court decisions to the parties and other violations. -16D-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
