On December 13 the weather in Baku and the Absheron peninsula will be changeable and rainless. The temperature will be + 3 + 6 Celsius at night and + 11 + 16 by day.
In areas of the country rainfall is not expected either, except for the northern regions, where snow is expected. The air temperature in the low-lying areas will be + 1 + 6 at night and +12+ 17 by day.
However, on December 14-15 the weather will become much colder with heavy precipitation in the form of rain or snow.
The temperature will drop drastically by 7-10 degrees and the roads will get icy, weather forecasters said. -02D-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
