Website editor continues hunger strike
Baku/19.08.19/Turan: Convicted editor of relliq.info website Ikram Rahimov continues his hunger strike, his relatives said.
The press service of the Prison Service confirmed that Rahimov continues the hunger strike.
"He is under medical supervision. Having refused food, he takes water, "the representative of the Prison Service said.
The editor began a hunger strike on August 15. He protests against his arrest.
Rahimov was sentenced to 5.5 years in prison on charges of extortion by threats, but did not plead guilty. Rahimov believes that he was convicted of exposing the illegal actions of the assistant to the head of state Ali Hasanov.-03B-
