The EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus visited the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in the Nakhchivan region
Baku/15.09.21/Turan: The EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Toivo Klaar, who is in Armenia, visited the border village of Yeraskh located on the border with Nakhchivan.
"The visit to Yeraskh sheds light on how close the military positions of Armenia and Azerbaijan are. It is important to reduce tensions on the border to thus improve the climate for negotiations. The EU is ready to support this," Klaar wrote on his Twitter account.

Today, the trial of paralyzed activist Famil Khalilov continued at the Baku Serious Crimes Court. During the session, he stated that he is a first-group disabled person but still has not been assigned a social worker for assistance. The judge noted that while the law does not require a social worker to be assigned to an inmate, he would appeal to the leadership of the pretrial detention facility "on humanitarian grounds."
