An exhibition of works by Ujal Hagverdiyev opened
On Monday, in the exhibition hall named after Sattar Bahlulzadeh (Gallery 1969), an exhibition of paintings and drawings by the artist Ujal Hagverdiyev (1955-2004) opened.
The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Culture Abulfaz Garayev and Head of the Baku Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, Father Alexander.
Ujal left in memory as ordinary person with his own special view of life, aesthetics and beauty. His works were mostly mythical and abstract, which was probably the result of his passion for myth and religion.
In recent years he devoted himself to the painting of the church of the Archangel Michael in Baku, which was led by a special arrangement of the Orthodox Church.
"Ujal was my friend and the last few years, despite serious illness, he spent painting the Russian church," - said Father Alexander.
Dozens of works in the exhibition give an idea of the inner world and work of this untimely deceased artist. -0 -

People seek to learn about past eras by conducting research on the internet, watching films, or being regular attendees of theatrical performances. Some periods in cultural history have not been deeply studied, and finding precise, detailed information in the Azerbaijani language is nearly impossible. One such period is the Qajar era, which lasted from 1794 to 1985.
