Italian architects propose a project for "Yanardaga"
Baku/16.01.18/Turan: Italian architect Laura Peretti and Sandro Teti have developed and proposed a project for the construction of the state historical and cultural reserve "Yanardag". The idea of creating a modern museum complex was previously voiced by the head of state Ilham Aliyev. According to the PR of United-Cultures Baku, the Italian project is a concept of the Museum of Fire and Energy, symbolizing the natural wealth and historical specifics of Azerbaijan. In addition, the project of Italian architects and designers allows using the future museum and as a theatrical stage in the open air. The project is proposed to be made of metal structures and glass.
"Yanardag" is a natural eternal flame in 30 km. from Baku. This is one of the many places in Azerbaijan where natural gas breaks out of the earth and burns for many centuries. -02D-

In a world increasingly marred by the effects of climate change, art has emerged as an unexpected, yet powerful, platform for raising awareness and sparking conversations on environmental responsibility. One such endeavor is the exhibition "A Different Kind of Climate," currently on display at Kapellhaus with support from the Goethe-Institut. The timing of this exhibition is no coincidence, aligning with the upcoming COP29, the UN Climate Change Conference to be held in Baku from November 11 to 22. The exhibition seeks to engage audiences on pressing ecological issues, blending local and international perspectives.
