The seventh session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO, held in Paris, included the art of playing tar (Azerbaijan’s national musical instrument) in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the international organization.
According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan, previously the list included spring holiday Novruz, mugam art, and local carpet. --17D—

Some periods in cultural history have not been deeply studied, and finding precise, detailed information in the Azerbaijani language is nearly impossible. One such period is the Qajar era, which lasted from 1794 to 1985.
