Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan will exchange metropolitan land
Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan will exchange the capital allotments half a hectare in size. Embassy complexes will be built with them in Baku and Astana. Land will be leased initially for 49 years at a nominal fee - one manat per year.
The Upper House of the Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session approved the draft law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on mutual provision of land for construction of diplomatic missions." The law, according to the procedure, will be effective immediately upon approval by the President.
According to the project, other fee, except rent of land, is not available - the parties shall be exempt from all taxes, levies, duties, levied in accordance with the national legislation of the host state.
Payment of land managers, surveyors and land surveyors, builders and project appraisal, the cost of maintenance and repair of buildings, utilities and other services will be paid by the parties in accordance with their own regulations and tariffs in force in the host country. --17D—
