Who is lying? Veterans or ministry?
Baku/09.06.22/Turan: After a protest rally on June 2 in front of the administrative building of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population (MLSPP), war veterans, the ministry and its subordinate State Agency for Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation announced that their identity had been established and announced the names of social support programs with which they are provided.
Chairman of the State Agency for Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Anar Bayramov said that each protester, as a war veteran, was assigned a monthly pension.
“Each of the veterans who came on June 2 to protest against the ministry, in fact, is provided with social support and has been received and heard many times,” he said. If the ministry is right, what prompted the veterans to protest?
A participant of the action, the chairman of the Public Association of Young Veterans Haji Veliyev, answers the question of whether the information disseminated by the ministry is true in the “Difficult Question” program.
According to him, the MLSPP launched a campaign to slander him and his relatives.
“Information about me, my father, my brother is not true,” he said.
He also said that two days ago Anar Bayramov, chairman of the State Agency for Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation, said that 11 veterans took part in the protest in front of the MLSPP.
“But this is not true, the video footage shows that in fact there were at least 20 protesters. And information about the protesters was not provided. The information was spread about me, about reserve major Bayram Huseynov, about Jafarov Gadir and about Elchin Verdiyev. And they say that they allegedly accepted all of us into the MLSPP and problems ... (indiscernible). But in fact, no one except me was admitted to the MLSPP. Only I met Deputy Ministers Anar Aliyev and Anar Kerimov several times in connection with the problems of veterans, I was at the reception of the heads of departments,” Veliyev complained.
According to him, after the protest, only two veterans were recognized as disabled.
“These are Verdiev Elchin and Shatalov Kamal. But they still can't get benefits. And the majority of veterans who are on our disability list are denied,” the veteran said. –0--
