Acquisitions of euros in the last month of 2012 increased more than 10 times
Turnover of non-cash foreign exchange transactions in December 2012 amounted to the equivalent of 3,817 million ($ 4.86 billion), an increase of 25% on the month. In just 12 months of this year, foreign exchange turnover stood at 33.44 billion manats. Compared to the same period last year, it increased 32.2%.
In December of the current share trading with the U.S. dollar was 27%. Share of the operations with the Russian ruble fell to 26.4%, while the share of the euro in the market fell to 12.3%.
The volume of cash transactions in U.S. dollars in December was $ 1,031 million, which is $ 9 million or 0.9% more than in November. During the reported month the volume of purchases of the currency fell by 5.7%. Compared to the same period in 2011, January-December of this year, the total turnover of cash exchange operations with the U.S. currency rose by $ 3,377 million or 40.3% to $ 11,765 million.
