Activities of Municipalities to Become more Transparent
Amendments to the law "On the status of municipalities" have been approved. Yesterday the country's President signed an executive order.
Recall that on December 16 Milli Majlis adopted amendments by a majority vote, according to which municipalities are prohibited from accepting tax and other payments in cash. The payment operators are local banks, the national postal operator and non-cash payment means.
The changes were made to Article 43 of the Law: "The transfer of local taxes and payments will be carried out by banks, postal operators and other means of cashless payment. Municipalities are prohibited from accepting payment of local taxes in cash."
The amendments entered into force at the beginning of this year .-- 17D-
