Added to the list of foreign insurers
List of international insurance, reinsurance and brokerage companies once again (on a monthly schedule) by a few players in this segment.
According to the official website of the State Insurance Supervision Service, by the end of the last quarter in the register of foreign insurance companies include several insurance companies.
In particular, the decision of the management services are included in the list of four foreign insurance companies: Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Company Ltd. (South Korea), British Steamship Protection & Indemnity Association (Bermuda) Limited (Bermuda), Ltd. SK Active (Russia) and AVIVA Sigorta A. S. (Turkey). Thus, the total number of insurance companies on the roster has reached 85.
Number of reinsurance companies with foreign capital has increased by Rosles Re (Russia), as well as Partner Reinsurance Europe plc (Ireland) and increased from 35 to 37.
But foreign players in the local brokerage segment with a foreign residence permit have become five units more - the list added Rimac Insurance Services Limited (South Korea), Lancaster Insurance Services Limited (British Isles), Crispin Speers & Partners Ltd. (UK), "Insurance broker Rock" (Russia), and Eurus Re brokers s. r. o. (Czech Republic). Now there are 61.
Under the law "On insurance activity" in the register of foreign insurance, reinsurance and brokerage firms should be included structures with high, through which Azerbaijani insurers advisable to carry out insurance and reinsurance operations.
According to the same law, the register must be updated promptly, so that the company could start on time to participate in the financial market of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less. This robust reserve position reflects Azerbaijan's fiscal stability and the government’s strategic economic management.
