Azerbaycan Senaye Sigorta is on the rise

The insurance company Azerbaycan Senaye Sigorta in January this year attracted a total of 500.8 thousand manats premiums. This is around 107 thousand (11.4%) more than the record result last year - when the level was reached in 393.9 thousand manats per month.

The company collected AZN 276.34 thsd (55.2%) on obligatory items. "Dominance" of compulsory items is inherent to companies - members of the Bureau of Compulsory Insurance. CTP (civil liability of owners of cars to third parties) collected the most - 246.68 thousand, property insurance - 28.85 thousand, and liability insurance of property owners - 810 manats.

Recall that as of February 1 last year the mandatory premiums of Azerbaycan Senaye Sigorta were only 14% of premiums.

Voluntary insurance premiums in January amounted to 224.46 thousand manats. Premiums on them are distributed as follows: in the first place is cargo insurance - 123.68 thousand manats. Property insurance against fire and other risks collected 52.44 thsd manats.

It is followed by voluntary health insurance (VHI) - 11.95 thousand manats, Hull car insurance - 29.21 thsd AZN and insurance of customers from accidents - 1.01 thsd AZN.

General liability insurance brought three thousand manat, liability insurance of vehicle owners - 1.25 thsd AZN, and credit insurance - 1.92 thsd AZN.

Payments by that financial structure from a mark of 60.94 thsd manats in January last year declined to 21.9 thousand manats. Ex gratia payments made 100%.

The founders of the company's original name CI Sigorta are Azprombank and Anadolu Investment Company with an equal share.

The company Azerbaycan Senaye Sigorta was registered in the Ministry of Finance on December 17, 1996.

It has operated in the insurance market since 1997, carrying out work on 28 types of voluntary and 5 types of compulsory insurance. On March 12, 2007 it was renamed to Azerbaycan Senaye Sigorta.

The authorized capital is AZN 6 million in anticipation of the next enlargement. - 17D-
