Reserve officers plan to hold a picket in front of the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Defense
The Public Association "Officers in reserve" and the NGO Coalition "SeDEP" are planning a March 9 picket in front of the Ministries of Justice and Defense. This is according to a statement released by the head of both of the above-mentioned organizations, Yashar Jafarli.
In his message addressed to the military attaches of foreign embassies in Azerbaijan, Jafarli says that despite orders issued by Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev to execute decisions made in favor of the military by the courts, they are not being implemented by the Ministry of Defense.
"The number of unexecuted judgments reached 17," said the statement. The document lists all the judgments to be executed, noting that among them there are documents, whose statute of limitations is 11 years. "The responsibility for this failure falls squarely on the Defense Minister, Safar Abiyev. We have sought to meet with him to address the problem, but to no avail. Unfortunately, there is no power to enforce legal verdicts in the matter, "the appeal says.
They invite the military attaches of foreign embassies to monitor the pickets. -03D04-
