Air companies increase passenger flow by 13%
Over the first seven months of this year, local air companies carried approximately 870,000 passengers, by 13.1% more than over the same period of lat year. This rate of passenger carriages volume can approach this year to its peak (1526 thousand people), which was observed in 2007.
According to the State Statistics Committee, that the share of state PFJ "Azerbaijan Airlines" is 98.5% of passenger traffic. Since last year the company expanded the geography of flights, both in Europe and the CIS. Frequency of flights was increased. However, the activity of AZAL is unprofitable.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
