Alcoholic Beverages to Be Available Only on Payment Cards
President Ilham Aliyev approved the rules regulating the turnover of goods marked with excise stamps in the territory of Azerbaijan.
The rules are developed in accordance with the Tax Code of Azerbaijan and define the necessary conditions and requirements for the turnover of excisable goods in the country.
Excise stamps should be put on drinking alcohol, alcoholic beverages, including beer, and tobacco products.
Export outside the industrial building, export and sale of the marked goods is subject to the implementation of the activities of a licensed owner.
Selling marked excise goods (excluding retail) is carried out exclusively on the forms of strict reporting.
The rules determine that the payment on the sale or purchase of marked alcohol products for the purpose of sale by cash is not allowed. Thus, from the 1st January 2016 consumers will have to reserve payment cards. ----08D
