Alekperov: LUKoil does not consider participation in another energy projects in Azerbaijan
A favorable investment climate created in Azerbaijan will contribute to attraction of huge investments, LUKoil President Vagit Alekperov said yesterday at the opening of a new office of NIKOIL bank in Baku.
He said LUKoil company is being actively involved in development of a unique gas condensate field Shah-Deniz in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea and does not consider participation in another energy projects in the republics. LUKoil has been also working on the north of the Caspian Sea.
Speaking about the retail sales, Alekperov said that the company believes that it has a rather branched network and it does not plan to start construction to expand the network even further.
Russian LUKoil company opened its office in Baku in 1993 and it holds 10% share in the Shah-Deniz project.—0—
