Azerbaijan exported over 5.7 billion cub.m. of gas
During 10 months, 2013 Azerbaijan has exported 5,732,000,000 cub.m. of natural gas, according to the meters of the State Customs Committee.
2,555,000,000 cub.m. of gas to the amount of $599,969,000 has been exported on the basis of the customs declarations. Since early year Azerbaijan has exported 1000 cub.m. of gas at an average price of $234.8.
Gas export increased by 26.88% in money equivalent against the same period in 2012. By November 1, 2013 share of gas in total export of the republic constituted 3.01%.
According to the meters, in 2012 6.99 billion cub.m. of natural gas was exported from Azerbaijan.
If this volume 2,714,000,000 cub.m. to the amount of $648,717,000 has been exported on the basis of the customs declarations.
At present SOCAR delivers gas to Russia, Georgia and Iran for the needs of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR).
The Shah-Deniz consortium exports natural gas to Turkey via the South-Caucasian pipeline. The Shah-Deniz gas is not included into the declared volume of gas.—0—

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less. This robust reserve position reflects Azerbaijan's fiscal stability and the government’s strategic economic management.

According to operational data from the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, in January 2025, the country produced 2.3 million tons of oil, including condensate, and 3.9 billion cubic meters of gas.

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has opened a representative office in Albania and is set to launch a specific project this year, the Albanian company "Albgaz" announced.

"Azerbaijan is currently among 54 middle-income countries," said Shahmar Movsumov, head of the Economic Affairs and Innovative Development Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, during the presentation of the World Bank’s World Development Report 2024 in Baku on February 10.
