Rain and Strong Winds Expected in Baku and Absheron Peninsula on February 7

The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan has forecast variable precipitation in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula on February 7, with strong northwesterly winds prevailing.

Temperatures in the capital are expected to range from 3-5°C at night and 5-7°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will rise to 771 mmHg, while relative humidity is projected to be between 70-80%.

In other regions of Azerbaijan, occasional rainfall is expected, with snow possible in mountainous and foothill areas. Some areas may experience fog, while westerly winds could strengthen in certain locations.

Temperatures in the regions will range from 0-4°C at night to 6-10°C during the day. In mountainous areas, nighttime temperatures are expected to drop to -5 to -10°C, with high-altitude zones experiencing even colder conditions at -10 to -15°C. Daytime temperatures in these areas will range from 0 to -5°C.

Authorities warn that some mountain roads may be covered with ice during the night and early morning hours.
